5. DATA COLLECTION ON OUR WEBSITE

Cookies
Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted. Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions that you have requested (e.g. enquiry basket function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSVGO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies to analyse your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are treated separately in this privacy policy. This website uses cookies. We use cookies to personalise content and advertisements, to be able to offer functions for social media and to analyse access to our website. We also share information about your use of our website with our social media, advertising and analytics partners. Our partners may combine this information with other data that you have provided to them or that they have collected as part of your use of the services.

Cookies are small text files used by websites to make the user experience more efficient. By law, we can store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of this site. For all other types of cookies, we need your permission.

This site uses different types of cookies. Some cookies are placed by third parties that appear on our pages. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the cookie statement on our website.

Find out more about who we are, how you can contact us and how we process personal data in our privacy policy. Please provide your consent ID and date when you contact us regarding your consent. Your consent applies to the following domains: www.gruelo.de

Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSVGO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent. The data entered in the contact form is therefore processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSVGO). You can revoke this consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation. We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Processing of data (customer and contract data)
We collect, process and use personal data only insofar as it is necessary for the establishment, content or amendment of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSVGO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process and use personal data about the use of our website (usage data) only insofar as this is necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill the user. The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

6. NEWSLETTER

Newsletter data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties. The data entered in the newsletter registration form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSVGO). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the cancellation. The data you provide us with for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.

Shipping service provider

  • Dispatch service provider: The newsletter is sent via our subcontractor Clever Elements GmbH (Prinzessinnenstr. 19-20, D-10969 Berlin) – hereinafter referred to as the “dispatch service provider”. You can view the data protection provisions of the dispatch service provider here: https://cleverelements.com/privacy. According to its own information, the mailing service provider may use this data in pseudonymous form – i.e. without allocation to a user – to optimise or improve its own services, e.g. to technically optimise the mailing and presentation of the newsletter or for statistical purposes in order to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, the mailing service provider does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass the data on to third parties.
  • Registration data: To register for the newsletter, it is sufficient to enter your e-mail address, your first name and surname and the desired form of address for a personalised approach in the newsletter.
  • Statistical survey and analyses: The newsletters contain a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the server of the mailing service provider when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval, is initially collected. This information is used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined with the help of the IP address) or the access times. The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our endeavour nor that of the mailing service provider to observe individual users. The analyses serve us much more to recognise the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.
  • Legal basis: The use of the mailing service provider, the performance of statistical surveys and analyses and the logging of the registration process are based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) DSVGO. We are interested in using a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves both our business interests and the expectations of users.
  • Cancellation/revocation: You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. You will find a link to cancel the newsletter at the end of each newsletter. If users have cancelled their newsletter subscription, the personal data processed for sending the newsletter will be deleted.

YouTube
Our website uses plugins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSVGO. Further information on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

We are expanding our internet presence with company profiles on social media platforms such as Facebook, Google+ and YouTube. You will therefore find corresponding icons in the footer area of our website. By clicking on one of the icons, you will be redirected to the corresponding profile. We would like to point out that these are not plugins. We only use a linking function in which a link is integrated behind the image, which redirects you to a corresponding website. If you click on the icons while you are logged into your account (Facebook, Google+ or YouTube), the social media providers can assign the visit to our pages to your user account and collect data. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook, Google+ and YouTube. Further information on this can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy at http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php, Google+ and YouTube at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=en

MyFonts Inc. Web Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts provided by MyFonts Inc. for the standardised display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to the servers of MyFonts Inc. As a result, MyFonts Inc. becomes aware that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of MyFonts Inc. web fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSVGO. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer. You can find more information about MyFonts Inc. web fonts at http://www.myfonts.com/info/legal/

To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSVGO. You can find more information on the handling of user data in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

8. ANALYSIS TOOLS AND ADVERTISING

Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc (“Google”). Google Analytics also uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.  You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available in the following link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB. You can find more information on handling of user data in Google’s data protection declaration: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

Google AdWords
Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an advert placed by Google, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an advert placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their advert and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example, by changing your browser settings to generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies or by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com”.

Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not wish measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.

Use of Google Remarketing
This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. to present interest-based advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. A “cookie” is stored in the visitor’s browser, which makes it possible to recognize the visitor when he or she visits websites that belong to Google’s advertising network. These pages may contain advertisements that refer to content that the visitor has previously viewed on websites that use Google’s remarketing feature. According to its own statements, Google does not collect any personal data in this process. However, if you do not wish to use Google’s remarketing function, you can always deactivate it by making the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising through the advertising network Initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

Visable Tracking-Pixels
We use products and services for analysis and marketing purposes, which are provided by Visable GmbH (www.visable.com) in cooperation with them. To that end, pixel-code technology is used to collect, process and store data in order to create at least pseudonymised, but where possible and sensible, completely anonymous user profiles. Data collected, which may initially still include personal data, is transmitted to Visable or is collected directly by Visable and is used to create the aforementioned user profiles there. Visitors to this website are not personally identified and no other personal data is merged with the user profiles. If IP addresses are identified as personal, they are immediately deleted. You can object to the processing operations described with future effect at any time: [Exclude visitor recording (Note: Link sets a 1st-party cookie for an opt-out)]
